RELATIONSHIP - What this term really means is a process* for a mutual benefit. A distinction must be made between relating to each other, i.e. the initiatives that teacher and pupil offer one another, and behaving, that is to say that each of the two starts from a given role and adjusts it according to pre-defined rules, i.e. by interaction. Being able to alternate between the function of the person asking and the person responding means putting oneself and the other in a position to benefit: not in terms of doing good, but of acting in a way which makes it possible to receive such a benefit.
