THINKING
- This is primarily thinking of one's own satisfaction, i.e. of being fully involved in what one does (sense of purpose, proceeding under one's own steam). For teaching to take place and for pupils to feel good at school one has to build on this starting capital. So-called learning difficulties are mainly due to a difficulty in thinking - the subject is unable to obtain satisfaction because what he is doing is divorced from his/her subjective perception of pleasure. This also shows the limitations of Piaget's theory on the development of thought and its influence on the educational system.
